Will we or won't we?

Well what a drama getting to Auckland, aye?

Judy and I were joking about the weather as we had previously had issues getting out of Wellington at a start of a holiday and blow me down it happened again though this time we were able to get onto a slightly later flight at around 5.30pm.

Getting off the ground was one thing but getting back on the ground in Auckland was another as they were experiencing thunder storms which resulted in a further delay as we weren't allowed to land until the storm had passed: all good in the end as good old Air New Zealand held back the Chicago flight for us.

Finally after a 15 hour flight we made it to Chicago where we were greeted fine weather and 27C temps; these can stay with us the whole trip for sure! We had a quick shuttle trip to our hotel in time to drop our bags in our room and head to the bar for a quick drink and then over the road to Harry Caray's restaurant for a meal.

Back in our room now to get some rest before we head to the Big Apple tomorrow.
