Chicago to New York: Just about not!

A sleep in today! A late breakfast! Yeah!!

We were being picked up at 11.00am so a rather relaxed start to the day which was great after such a long flight. After a nice cooked breakfast and a couple of coffees it was back to the room for one last look around and then meet everyone in the lobby to psych ourselves up for another airport visit knowing it was going to be a bit of a mission.

The airport 😁 what great places they are to spend your time in; having said this it was rather painless this time, though it did take a while. Coming out the other end of security we did as we were clearly instructed to do by the check-in team and moved to gate B6: at about 1.15pm they called boarding in our groups only for them to come back out as the plane wasn't going to NY it was going to Miami!

It was at about this time we all looked rather dumb-struck: Jo kicked into action and found out we had a gate change that we weren't told about and should've been at Gate B3! All good, we arrived to a lady telling us "we have been waiting for you"!! Thank goodness you were I was thinking 😅; an hour and a half later we were landing at La Guardia in Queens NY to lovely warm temps: I am beginning to like this USA "winter".

This is our hotel for the night; very nice.

Just behind the trees and the buildings is the airport.

There is a giant rock at the front entrance so took a photo of the sign so you knew what it was all about.

Dinner tonight was at the hotel next door; they have great beer and bar food and it was right next door.

Into bed early tonight as it is a very early start for Judy, Woody and me: we have to be ready for pick-up at 6.45am as Woody needs to pick his bike up from a different place and we are going along to help, then it is an hours ride to another shop to pick up the bike Judy and I are using.

See you again tomorrow 😄
