Jo did another great job with this one; the staff and rooms were second to none.
It was a 400 km run today and started off quite cold and foggy; very refreshing indeed. We headed off at around 9.00am for a quick scoot down an interstate type road which was quite clear of cars and gave us a pretty good run. Our first stop was for gas and coffee at Dieppe, which was well received due to the temps still quite cool. From here it was into Nova Scotia and our lunch stop at Sackville, which is a small town that has quite a large university (2500 students): the town was quiet due to all the students off on holiday something the locals enjoy due to the quiet. We had lunch at Mels Diner.
It was starting to warm up but still not warm enough to take a layer off but by the time we got to our afternoon stop at Katamagouche it was warm, very warm and making us feel a little weary. On our way here we passed through a town called Pugwash but nothing that related to Captain Pugwash!
We all arrived in New Glasgow safely: first stop the petrol station where we met this young chap who wanted a photo with us as his mother was from Rotorua! Go figure! The hotel was just down the road which was good. After unloading we went next door to the Swiss Chalet restaurant and had chicken and ribs.
It is an early start tomorrow, Sunday our time, as we want to be on the road by 7.30am so good night 😊
